Crackle Paint

Crackle Paint

Fast-drying Crackle Paint is a white paint that crackles as it dries to create an eggshell cracking pattern in just one step. Use over a sealed surface for best results. As the paint dries, it will begin to crack, showing the base color beneath. Media Crackle Paint can be tinted with up to 20% Media Fluid Acrylics.

ASK ANDY

Q: How much Fluid Acrylics can I add to the crackle mediums when tinting them? -- Cracked in Hampstead

A: Dear Cracked, I would recommend no more than 20%. If you add too much it will stop the crackle reaction, I
normally stick at around 10%, remember the tinting strength of the fluid acrylics is high, just 10%
will give you good color. If you want a very deep color both the crackle paint and paste can be painted once dry.
