Getting Started with Growing Hops

Register now!

Demand for local brewing ingredients has increased as the demand for local products has hit the beverage industry. Farmers are finding opportunities to now grow hops and grains to supply the numerous microbreweries in VT. Hops, a crop that was historically grown in Vermont is having a renaissance of sorts.

Join UVM Extension's Heather Darby for a presentation on getting started with hops. We'll cover setting up a trellis system, soil fertility, variety selection, pest management, harvesting, and post-harvest management.

The webinar is free, but pre-registration is required. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

For additional information and to request a disability-related accommodation to participate in this program, please contact Beth Holtzman at 802-223-2389 or 800-866-1632 by April 6 so we may assist you.
