E-Prime 2.0 Service Pack 2 Now Available

E-Prime 2.0 SP2 (2.0.10.356) is now available in our Product Service and Support Site downloads area. This service pack is a free update. E-Prime 2.0 SP2 introduces improved stability in E-Studio to decrease occurrences of crashes and HASP driver issues. There is no file format change; users can run SP1 and SP2 experiments in either version. Changes in SP2 only affect the E-Studio application, so there is no concern when considering to update from SP1 to SP2.

Specifically, the service pack includes an updated HASP driver and the following bug fixes:

• FIPS Compliant Security Algorithms may prevent successful E-Prime suite licensing and startup operations
• Socket WriteString TaskEvent sends unexpected characters
• Out of memory scenario can cause unintended deletion of es2 file during Save or Generation
• "Unable to schedule frame" DisplayExtension issue
• SlideMovie object does not respond to Slide.DisplayName change unless Load is called again
• Task Events Dialog fields limit number of characters for [attrib] references
• Generation of script causes error message
• Experiments with SRBOX crash when no serial ports available
• "The value entered is not a valid color, RGB value, or attribute reference." due to whitespace in RGB color code
• Values larger than 32767 result in a run-time error when using Offset Order
• Multiple correct answers does not work with AutoResponse

Eye Tracking Extension Updates

E-Prime® Extensions for Tobii™ (2.0.2.50) is now available for download. If you are using an older version of E-Prime, then you must first upgrade to
E-Prime 2.0 Professional SP1 before installing the EET update. To download this free update, please visit the downloads area on our Product Service and Support Site. If you have not yet registered your EET license on our site, you will need to do so to access the download. The update includes:

• Improved scene support between E-Prime and Tobii Studio
• Minor bug fixes
• Updated Samples and Tutorials
• Updated documentation

E-Prime® Extensions for Smart Eye™ (1.0.2.55) is now available for download. To download this free update, please visit the downloads area on our Product Service and Support Site. If you have not yet registered your EESE license on our site, you will need to do so to access the download. The update includes:

• Initial compatibility with Aurora
• Improved support for running on multiple monitors
• Improved gaze replay efficiency
• Minor bug fixes
• Improved Samples and Tutorials
• Updated documentation

E-Prime 2.0 Timing Data

E-Prime reports timing accuracy to the millisecond precision level. PST has conducted formal timing tests on Windows 8.1, 8, 7, and XP. This timing data is available in KB 5628 - E-Prime 2.0 Timing Data. For more information, please consult the Critical Timing Chapter in the E-Prime documentation.

E-Prime Webinars and Training

In response to your feedback, we will be replacing most of our webinars with 14-day access to E-Prime training videos that cover the same content. This will allow users more time to work along with the training sessions at their own pace. Our training video store is currently under construction and will be announced soon. In addition, our live E-Prime Basic Webinars will now be free!
