Sebastian's Lady Spy

Seduction abounds in Sharon Cullen’s steamy historical romance! For the Crown’s top agents, love is a hazard best avoided—until an unforgettable affair exposes their undercover hearts.

Sebastian Addison has a powerful secret. To society he is the Earl of Claybrook, the patriarch who raised his siblings after the death of their parents. But to the king, Sebastian is Britain’s top spy—a position that has taken an emotional toll on him. Contessa Gabrielle Marciano has also been living a lie, her title a cover devised by the Office of Intelligence. The femme fatale was plucked from a life of crime and prostitution and trained to restrain her passionate nature. Until she meets the earl.

For three deeply sensual days and nights, Sebastian and Gabrielle drop their masks, indulging in pleasures that seem too good to be true. Then the lovers go their separate ways. Seven months later they reunite when inside sources report that an English aristocrat has been aiding France in a plot to topple the Crown. Their objective: to find the turncoat. Their greatest challenge: to keep their wild, wounded hearts from derailing a mission of life and death.

****NEWS****

I'm so excited to announce that I signed a three-book deal with Random House for a Scottish trilogy that will be released in 2016.

When my editor came to me and asked if I would write a Scottish story I, of course, said yes. But I had no idea what to write, however, I knew that whatever it was, it would be a trilogy.

I immediately started researching the Scottish Highlands but I have to admit that it took a long time and a lot of research for the overall plot of the three books to come together. Researching is always fun for me but even I had to admit frustration when the plot eluded me. And then it started coming together. I can't say exactly what piece fell in place first--it was almost as if the whole thing just tumbled into place at once.

The first draft of the first book is written and the first draft of the second book has been started and I'm loving writing about these hunky heroes. I can't wait to share them with all of you.

Here's the small blurb about the trilogy:

In April, 1746 the Scottish Jacobites were resoundingly defeated by the English in the Battle of Culloden. In the aftermath the Jacobites and their supporters were rounded up, imprisoned, tortured, their women raped and their land confiscated.

In response twelve clan chiefs come together to form a pact to protect the Scottish people. Three of those chiefs will find their beliefs put to the test, their lives endangered and unlikely friendships formed as they fight the English. But in the end each will earn the love of a strong woman that will transcend everything.

This is the tentative release dates of the three books:

Sutherland's Secret January, 2016
MacLean's Passion June, 2016
Campbell's Redemption November, 2016

I'm a big fan of Pinterest. In fact, you'll find me on there a lot. I know a lot of authors use Pinterest for their writing but not me. I use Pinterest mainly for recipes. My family used to groan when I told them we were eating a Pinterest experiment but lately they haven't been groaning because I've found some great recipes to add to the rotation.

I will admit that mostly I pin desserts because I love me my sugar and carbs. I tried this recipe a few weeks ago and it was a huge hit so I thought I'd share.

Funfetti Gooey Butter Cookies

  • ½ cup butter room temperature

  •
  1. In bowl beat cream cheese and butter together until smooth, add in egg and continue mixing, scraping sides as necessary.
  2. Add in the cake mix and beat until combined and finally stir in extra sprinkles.
  3. Chill dough for about an hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°
  5. Form dough into 1 inch balls and roll in powdered sugar. Place on baking sheet 2" apart and bake for about 10 minutes.
