Do not despise the day of small beginnings...

"Today the Sena people have the written Word of God in their hands!"

Dear <<First Name>>,

On Saturday, March 21, in Beira, Mozambique, a small team of gray-haired translators stood before a crowd of Sena believers and presented to them the fruit of 20 years of their labors - the completed New Testament in their language.  We were sad that our gray heads were not among them, as we had the joy of launching this work with Pastor Luis Nhazeze in 1995, when Derek and Hannah were only one year old. But we did receive this joyful message from Bongece on that day (translated from Portuguese):

We are filled with joy!  So much joy! After nearly 20 years of labor God has done a great thing in our lives.  I remember that on the day you left Mozambique, brother John said that the seed had been planted, but now it must be watered!  It took many years of sweat, challenges and trials, but the plant was watered - God gave us the strength to complete this great work!  Thank you so much for your prayers and help.  Today the Sena people have the written word of God in their hands.  Beloved ones, continue to pray for us.  Seeing that the team is made up of people who are already advanced in age, it is our prayer that we will be able to train others to continue the work.

Yours in Christ,

           Bongece

As Bongece said, thank you so much for your prayers and help over the past 20 years.
 Happy Easter!

    Love,
       Barb
