Reason #1 - Sustained Publicity
The goal of ‘The Nationals’ is to bring together the best of Canadian wines and Canadian wine critics under one roof. Last year 209 Canadian wineries and 1,335 wines were entered into the competition making it the largest professional domestic wine competition in Canada.
If you want serious recognition for your wine in Canada, this is the one wine awards you shouldn't miss. It builds on the success and experience of fifteen years of previous awards and a continually expanding national reach.
The following video was made last year at the 2014 Nationals in Penticton, BC. It will give you an insider's look at our judging process and what goes on behind the scenes of one of the best wine competitions in the world.
At the Nationals, there is no restriction on price, leaving each winery the opportunity to compete with and against the best wines in the country. More importantly, as barriers to ship wines across the country come down, the combination of winning recognition at the Nationals and WineAlign’s ability to display the results across the country, makes this the only competition with enduring post competition sales opportunities.
All wines entered will be added to the WineAlign/Chacunsonvin website with high quality pictures. All winning wines will have at least one review, many in both French and English. Winning wines will also be tagged, categorized and flagged with Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze virtual medals. This will expose the wines to the 1.5M unique visitors from around the world who visit WineAlign annually. In 2014, close to 900,000 were from Canada alone. Of those, over 525,000 were from Ontario, 190,000 from Quebec and 118,000 from British Columbia. This number will continue to grow due to the launch in Quebec of Chacun Son Vin last year.

We will continue to speed up the process of getting the results out sooner than ever to maximize your ability market your wines and wineries throughout the busy fall season. Full results, including Canadian Winery of the Year, will be published on WineAlign near the end of July 2015. The results of the awards will also be emailed to our very large newsletter database.
