** BE PART OF THE SOLUTION: NATIONAL MARRIAGE CHALLENGE FUNDRAISER

Have a great time while supporting a great cause at a reception to raise funds for National Marriage Challenge, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to help cover the enormous litigation costs incurred by April DeBoer and Jayne Rowse, whose challenge to their state's bans on same-sex marriage and same-sex adoption will be heard by the U.S. Supreme Court late this month along with three other cases.
April and Jayne are two nurses in a long-term, loving relationship who have adopted four special-needs children out of foster care. They are challenging Michigan's bans on same-sex marriage and second-parent adoption. If they win, marriage equality will be the law throughout the country.
The stakes are high, but unfortunately the costs are too... Their co-counsel will be speaking at the event, which is being organized by our local community. Wine, beer, soft drinks, and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
