Movers and Shakers
RECENT changes in the Leadership group for the Innovative Access to Public Services (IAPS) programme sees us saying hello to Bolton and Calderdale and goodbye to Cheshire West and Chester councils.
Julie Bellis, Cheshire West & Chester Council has served on the IAPS network leadership group for many years and it is with huge regret that we say goodbye to her as she leaves her post at her authority in June. Julie has been an asset in helping us to set the priorities for the IAPS strand of work within iNetwork, and her contribution will be sorely missed.
Stepping up to fill Julie's shoes are heads of Customers Services Zorah Zancudi and John Ryan from Calderdale and Bolton respectively.
If you are interested in serving the IAPS network leadership group (or any of the four NLGs across iNetwork's programmes), please do not hesitate to get in touch with Shelley for more information.
Taking Out Paper and Cost
COLLEAGUES from Sunderland, Bolton and East Sussex Councils will be sharing their experience and expertise on reducing paper in Planning, Environmental Services and e-invoicing.
Hear how mobile technology, process automation, service redesign and culture change have been applied to a variety of local government services in order to reduce paper and cut costs.
Places are open to all public sector practitioners and not limited to iNetwork members. Hurry to secure your place as spaces are limited.

The National Digital Picture
WHAT would you say to the proposal of having a 'Local Government Digital Service' or to the suggestion to put in place a 'single website for all councils'? This is your chance to discuss with peers, what we want and don't want from central government's digital ambition for local public services.
Attending this event is an opportunity for you to have your say and be involved in shaping national decisions for digital public service delivery. Your views will be taken directly to London the very next day to be considered at the LG Digital Summit hosted by the Local Government Delivery Council and facilitated by the LGA.
Due to very recent cancellations, three spaces at this roundtable have opened up for you to grab. The Digital Managers'Forum Meeting on 21st April is worth looking at if you want the space and time to consider the national digital picture and how this may affect your organisation.
A BIT of Free Training
iNETWORK member organisations have the opportunity to access free business and improvement training £1800pp. Delivered by Gateshead College, this training will enable delegates to learn key skills and critically analyse the performance of their business area to make lasting improvements to benefit residents and internal customers. Find out more from Catherine if you are interested in discussing any aspect of the training
