Yes its true, we aren't doing kids day camps this summer. While we are sad and will miss this part of our summer, we are also excited to share what we ARE doing this year.
We are calling it Ohana. You may remember the word from the Disney movie Lilo and Stitch. "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind — or forgotten." In Hawaiian culture 'ohana' means family in an extended sense of the term, including blood-related, adoptive or intentional. So what is Ohana? Simply put, it's Family Day Camp.
Every Sunday (June 28, July 5, 12, and 19) our worship service will be from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Following the service, we will board the bus or cars and head off to our site for the day. Lunch and snack is provided. The bus will return each day around 3:30 to Elim.
