Telephone Messages to Students
Parents please be mindful that while we do our best to get telephone messages to students, we are unable to guarantee that messages received after 12.30 pm will reach students prior to the close of school - especially on sport days.
Whenever possible please call Reception before 12.30 pm to arrange change of pick-up arrangements.

Aerosol Deodorant NOT PERMITTED
Parents please be reminded that aerosol deodorant is not permitted at school. PCS is an asthma-friendly school and these deodorants have the potential to trigger an asthma attack.
Please ensure that students bring roll-on deodorant should they need to freshen up after sport, etc.

Junior School Missions - Wrap with Love Knitting Group
Our 'Wrap with Love' knitting group is well under way. Led by Mrs Irene Newton, a small dedicated group of knitters, of varying ages, are giving up their Monday lunch break to knit squares. These squares will then be joined into a blanket and sent to a warehouse to be distributed to those in greatest need. We need 28 squares (25 cm square) to complete one blanket.
Any donations of 8 ply yarn (or completed squares) can be left at Reception - they will be put to good use.
For a knitting pattern just google 'Wrap with Love'.

Year 2 'Bounce Back'
Year 2 have been learning about how to 'bounce back' as part of our Health program. In one lesson we learnt that we don't have to accept 'put-downs'. We wrote and drew about put-downs that we have experienced. Then we screwed up the paper and threw it in the bin where it belongs!
The kids loved this activity.

Year 2 Celebrates
Year 2 finished our HSIE unit and enjoyed our Celebrations afternoon with a picnic with our parents and family members.
We played parachute games, musical chairs, bubbles, danced and concluded with a piñata.
Thank you families for ... helping us celebrate!

Making & Designing at PCS
PCS is establishing a MAD (Making And Designing) room in the school. This is a room where students will be able to ‘make and design’ using different materials (including technology) and methods.
To assist this room to begin we are seeking your support.
If you have any of the following items that are still in good condition, usable and you do not need anymore, please send them to school with your child/ren to the attention of Mr Snowden - 5S classroom (DM3).
• Lego: bricks, pieces, mechanical parts, Mindstorm, Dacta
• Meccano
• Old mobile phones and computers
(Please ensure that all personal information has been removed)
• Radio-controlled vehicles
• Anything else similar to this.
Your support would be tremendously appreciated so we can set this room up to the benefit of students.
Mr Stephen Snowden
Middle School Curriculum Coordinator
