Llangarron Easter Egg Hunt
Langstone Court was looking gorgeous on Easter Monday for the Llangarron Easter Egg hunt. Around 100 people enjoyed the sunshine, gardens, teas and ice cream. Thank you to Richard Jones for hosting the event, to the cake bakers, helpers and all the egg hunters. Proceeds will go to the LCA to support the running of the Garron Centre and community events.
For those of you who are keen to see the house and garden again, you can visit on Saturday 20 June for an Open Gardens event in aid of St Michael's Hospice and also in August for an Eccentricity Theatre open air production of Peter Pan. Details to follow shortly.
Passover Supper
Llangarron hosted its first Passover Supper on Thursday 2 April at The Garron Centre.
Llangarron Progressive Supper
Next Saturday evening Llangarron will be a little busier than normal.
The annual Progressive Supper will begin with guests making their way to a local home for starters at 7pm. They will then go their separate ways to a new venue for the main course at 8.15pm and finally to a secret location for dessert and coffee.
The event is sold out as usual. Huge thanks to Gill Drayton and Val Sullivan for organising this once again as a fundraiser for St Deinst church and to the hosts, cooks, dessert makers and guests. Bon appetit everyone!
Footpaths, Dog Walkers and Landowners
The Parish Council remind all those walking the many footpaths that cross our Parish area that they must keep strictly to the footpath they are walking and should not access any land which does not have a footpath, as this is trespassing. Also when you are accompanied by a dog on your walk, the dog must be kept on a lead at all times.
Similarly, landowners should be aware that they have a duty of responsibility to ensure safe passage of walkers and this should not be prohibited in any way.
The Parish Council thank you for your co-operation in this matter and hope that everyone can continue to enjoy walking around our area. Should you experience any problems, please contact the Parish Council (Tel: 01989 770 665).
