Introduction from Ann Wade

Hello All,

Things are quiet but busy here at the DaDaFest office as we are doing important work to get ready for Young DaDaFest and DaDaFest International 2016. Meantime Ruth Gould is still in the U.S. as a guest of the DisArt Festival - here's hoping that her journey back isn't as eventful as the trip out! See Ruth's blog to see what we mean. We are also sorting our tickets for the Graeae production of Blood Wedding at the Everyman next week. Its not often that we get a chance to see a play that incorporates BSLI and Audio Description in the production - so do take the opportunity to catch it while you can.

Cheers,

Ann

DaDaFest and the DisArt Festival - podcast

Our Artistic Director, Ruth Gould, has been attending the DisArt Festival in Grand Rapids, Michigan this last week - that's her, second left on stage, looking incredibly glamorous - although she had a bit of a nightmare trip getting there (see her blog, here, for more details!).  Once she finally got there, she found the time to take part in a podcast where she talks about DaDaFest and the DisArt Festival.  The podcast is here.

DaDaFest's Latest Staff Member

Hello All,

I’m Jess, Ruth’s new Personal Assistant. I might not be as cute as Reba but I’m a bit more organised! I am here to assist Ruth in scheduling, note-taking and just about anything that she’ll have me do. As musician, music producer and composer as well as interdisciplinary performer I have worked in a number of different musical and performance settings. My main instrument is the Ukulele as well as voice and I have toured as a professional Ukulelist (yes that’s a thing!). I grew up in Germany as a child of both German and American parents, hence my mysterious accent. I’m grateful to be part of this lovely team and I look forward to working and interacting with all of you in the future!
