TWO NIGHTS ONLY!
APRIL 17 & 18 @ 8:00 PM
Bootless Stageworks proudly presents two breathtaking performances of the 1986 West End hit musical, Chess. With lyrics by Tim Rice (Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita) and music by Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson of ABBA (Mama Mia) and featuring some of the finest regional talent including Rick Fountas (Freddie), Michael Poposvsky (Anatoly), Marnie Kanarek (Florence), Jennie Knackstedt (Svetlana), Peter Campbell (Molokov), Dan Urdeneta (Walter) and Justin Walsh (Arbiter), as well as a 12 member chorus and 28 member orchestra, and performed as a semi-staged concert similar in style to the 2009 Royal Albert Hall concert starring Josh Groban and Idina Menzel, this is an event not to be missed.
Chess tells the fictional story of a romantic triangle between American Chess Grandmaster Freddie Trumper, Soviet Chess Grandmaster Anatoly Sergievsky, and Florence Vassy, a woman who manages one and falls in love with another.
Chess in Concert is presented as Bootless' Annual Artist Fundraiser. All profits directly benefits our collective of highly talented Emerging Artists.
