Contemporary pianist Andrew Aarons makes his debut at the Canadian Music Centre with composer Paul Frehner’s magnum opus for the piano: Finnegans Quarks Revival. Inspired by Quantum Theory, this 30-minute piece journeys through a dazzling array of moods, rhythms, textures and extra musical ‘quirks.’ Aarons complements Frehner's cycle with an early prelude by Olivier Messiaen.
