VDX procedure changes
The revised VDX manual has been sent out to all libraries, along with a list of what's changed.
Most notable changes:
- Libraries are no longer responsible for processing Idle requests.
- As of May 4, PRL will send out email notices for VDX requests that cannot be filled (to all patrons with email addresses in Horizon, except for patrons of libraries that opt out of this service).
- Libraries may now opt in to have PRL place holds in Horizon for requests from external libraries in VDX. (Libraries are still expected to go into VDX to action these "Shipped.")
