West Side Grows Together Steering Committee

Working Together for Peace and Safety

Public safety was the #1 concern for residents surveyed as part of the West Side Revitalization Plan in 2012, and it showed up again as the #1 concern in our 2014 resident survey.

When Gov. Markell’s Police Strategies Commission released its report last month listing many ways the Wilmington Police Department could improve operations, better use data, build stronger relationships with residents, and reduce crime and violence in the City of Wilmington, the West Side Grows Together Steering Committee immediately wrote a letter of support urging lawmakers to fully implement the Commission’s recommendations.
