beer is great!

Hi <<First Name>>,

It's a bank holiday this weekend! When Sunday's become a second Saturday, giving you more time to enjoy beautiful food and drink. We've got lots of new beers to salute the sunshine (fingers crossed), plus a brand new box of lovely German Lagers to celebrate our partnership with Oktoberfest London, an amazing new event at Tobacco Dock in London this Autumn.

Oktoberfest London Mixed Case

If you'e always wanted to go to Oktoberfest but never made it, here's the chance to enjoying some stunning German beers in the comfort of your own home. Including the stunning Hacker-Pschorr Kellerbier and Paulaner Hefeweiss, this is a great case for the long weekend.

Oud Beersel Bersalis Kadet

Bersalis Kadet is a light and refreshing tripel-inspired beer but at half the ABV and still full of flavour. The sweet, full taste of barley malt is crowned with fruity touches from the yeast and a  subtle hoppy character on the finish.

Page 24 Printemps

Page 24 Printemps is a light amber beer that dates as far back as 1390 and is always brewed between St Michael's and St George's Day, in accordance with tradition. It's an easy drinking beer that makes an ideal beer for an apertif with friends before an al fresco meal, and marries well with spring salads and a good chicken waterzool with baby vegetables.

Contreras Especial Mars

One of the last remaining "bières de mars", a forgotten tradition in which Belgian and northern French brewers made a special spring beer to celebrate their natural water. Contreras, however, still produces their Tonneke each year. It has a copper colour and firm, thick head, a sweetish, gentle aroma of caramel, almond and berries, and a malty, spicy, rounded palate. It's flavours are allowed to shine thanks to the ultra-clean water, which makes this a very special release each year.

't Gaverhopke Spring Tipple

't Gaverhopke Spring Tipple is a Abbey Tripel brewed in collaboration with White Pony Microbrewery. This 8% blond is brewed in abbey style to be malty sweet but dry, with fruity undertones and a bitter finish.

Hacker-Pschorr Hubertus Bock

A typical maibock (May Bock) brewed to the German purity law, Hubertus is a strong, golden pilsner with lots of refreshing hops. Normally only available in Munich area, we're very lucky to have been given some by the brewery. This is a lovely, light copper coloured, smooth, easy drinking lager beer.

Dubuisson Surfine

Surfine is a remarkable beer. Brewed with three different malts, three Belgian hops and fermented with three types of yeast, going beyond the traditions of Belgian saisons. This style has its origins in the farms of Hainaut, where beers were once brewed during the cold season to refresh seasonal workers during the summer.

Schneider Weisse Tap X Mathilda Soleil

The limited Tap X is a tribute to the former brewery boss Mathilde Schneider, who gave the company its flair and pioneering spirit, as well as the idea of its fantastic doppelbock Bavaria at the same time.

In her memory the brewery produces an annual special that people seek out every year. The beer in 2015 is a sparkling, summer-y treat, spicy and nutty, with a refreshing fruitiness of apples, pears and quinces.

CHOUFFE Soleil

CHOUFFE Soleil is a blonde special beer that's delicately fruity and deliciously refreshing. After fermenting in barrels it is left unfiltered and refermented in the bottles.

and there's more...

Boulevard Brewing Co

Founded in 1989, Boulevard Brewing Company has grown to become the largest specialty brewer in the Midwest states of the USA. They'd say: "Our mission is simple: to produce fresh, flavourful beers using the finest traditional ingredients and the best of both old and new brewing techniques."  We'd say they produce some amazing Belgian-style and US beers that are always refreshing, always top quality and now easily available in the UK for the first time!

Boulevard Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale

Beginning with a big surge of fruity aromatics and grapefruit-hoppy notes, the flavor of this complex, straw-colored ale tapers off to a peppery, dry finish.

Boulevard Single Wide IPA

boasts a heady combination of six varieties of hops: Zeus, Bravo, Cascade, Centennial, Simcoe, Citra
