Here at the Ann Foundation, we have been busy spreading literacy amongst the underprivileged and enabling students to discover their inner talents! Our latest journey to expand our work started in West Bengal, India. We launched exciting new projects, and have partnered with great organizations! Of course, we also met with existing partners and witnessed some of the great things that are being done to assist children.
Educating Girls, Empowering Communities!

On our visit to Khadijatul Kubra Girls Mission (KKGM) we inaugurated their new computer center. We donated five desktop computers to the center, with plans to donate more soon. With this in place, we were able to help provide 147 girls with English and computer classes. The project kicked off on April 15, 2015!

A Better Learning Environment for Blind Children in Bargur

In 2014, our goal was to supply 87 sets of individual desks and chairs to IELC Blind School in Bargur, but due to lack of funds, we were only able to donate 37 sets. However, this year we donated the remaining 50 sets! Braille learning has been made easier within this new more comfortable learning environment.

Breaking Barriers for the Children of Kolli Hills

Ann Foundation joined forces with M. S. Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) and State Bank of India Youth for India in order to facilitate learning for students. English classes are now conducted on a daily basis for the Government Model Higher Secondary School. Students from this school are using MSSRF facilities for ESL classes and they look forward to future collaborations with the Ann Foundation. This exciting project launched on April 2, 2015!

Recognition for the Ann Foundation

On our visit to Nari-O-Sishu Kalyan Kendra (NOSKK) in Bouria, Kolkata, Director Rahima Katun honored the Ann Foundation for our dedication and commitment to empowering their children and youth. We were thanked for our outstanding and unforgettable services for adolescents and children to enable them to be self-reliant. NOSKK added that our contributions to learning have brought smiles on the faces and increased the aspirations of their children! It is an honor when a partnering organization recognizes the work that we’ve been able to do together!

We resumed our classes in Mbeya, Tanzania on April 15, 2015. Thanks to our coordinator Bernadette Odhiambo for all her efforts in taking this project forward!
Your Gifts Make A Difference

Learning wasn’t easy for students of the IELC Blind School in Bargur as their decades old chairs were falling apart. Now that they are able to sit in comfortable chairs, you have put smiles on their faces and allowed them to focus on what matters. You have also bridged the digital divide for 400 girls. With the addition of new computers to the Khadijatul Kubra Girls Mission’s computer center, all of the girls are now connected to the world.
