Board of Director Spotlight

George Rebeck

George Rebeck has served on the Board of Directors at CHWC for almost four years, and is currently the Treasurer of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Finance Committee.

George is a native of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas, where he grew up on Strawberry Hill, attended Bishop Ward High School and Donnelly College. George is active in his parish (Christ the King in KCK), Knights of Columbus, and is also on the Archdiocesan Finance Council, where he chairs the Property and Finance Committee. On a professional basis, he is the Vice President of Finance & Accounting at Straub Construction Company, Inc.

George feels very honored and privileged to serve on the Board of CHWC, because it is an organization that is truly making a difference in Kansas City, Kansas. When most people think of our city and county, they think of everything happening on its western edge, which is great and exciting. What they would be surprised to know, is that a revitalization is also taking place in downtown KCK and its surrounding neighborhoods, thanks in large part to CHWC. In addition to providing new housing and renovating existing homes, CHWC provides families the opportunity to own those homes and become good neighbors by offering homebuyer education and counseling, as well as community building & organizing initiatives; all of which improve the quality of life for all residents of Kansas City, KS. There is new life, excitement and optimism in our community that we can all be proud of.George is grateful to CHWC and the KCK community for letting him be part of this transformation!

From all the staff at CHWC, we thank you George!
