Adult Rowers
The new registration year started April 1. Annual memberships are now due. The costs are $440 for sport rowers ($20 annual insurance + $420) and $490 for competitive rowers ($70 annual insurance + $420). If you purchase drop-in tickets then your tickets are still good but your $20 annual insurance dues must be paid.
Adult Rowing Times
Monday and Wednesday, 6:00 pm
Friday, 5:00 pm (no session April 24, May 8, May 22)
Sunday, 9 am
Early morning sessions will be added later in the season.

Learn to Row!
Junior Mini Learn to Row
For students in grades 7-12 in May and June. Cost is $60 for 4 sessions including insurance. All sessions run from 4:00-5:30 pm. Session dates are:
Session A - May 26, 28, June 2, 4
Session B - June 9,11,16,18
Junior Summer Learn to Row
We will once more be offering summer learn-to-row sessions through Nanaimo Parks and Recreation. Registration may be done online or at any of the Parks and Rec facilities.
Cost is $70 payable to Parks & Rec plus $20 fee for insurance payable to the club. Snacks provided. We will be offering the following sessions:

Duties and responsibilities
Under the direction of the Head Coach, the student will be involved with all aspects of summer rowing programs including:
- Assisting with week-long learn-to-row camps for youth (local priority)
- Assisting with the preparation of athletes and equipment for competition
- Conducting learn-to-row sessions for adults
- Conducting regular training sessions for experienced adult rowers
- Assisting with regular training sessions for competitive youth rowers
- Operating the safety boat and enforcing water safety
- Maintaining equipment
- Supervising junior and/or volunteer staff
- Promoting the sport of rowing in the community as a healthy lifestyle choice for all ages
Supervision and mentoring
The student will be working under the supervision of the Head Coach throughout the summer. The Head Coach will provide guidance to the student by familiarizing them with all aspects of the club, assisting the student in developing and organizing the learn-to-row sessions and increasing their technical knowledge of both rowing and upkeep of equipment. Throughout the summer the Head Coach will be at the work site and this will be an excellent opportunity for the student to gain experience and knowledge. In addition, members of the club executive, many of them rowers, will make regular on-site visits and either the Head Coach or an executive member will always be available to answer any concerns or problems that the student may encounter.
Pay $12/h 30h/week for 14 weeks starting May 11th or 18th
