AustCham Beijing Newsletter
30th April 2015

As Beijing warms up, so has AustCham Beijing with informative and engaging events for the Australian business community. Here's a quick look back at April 2015.

In the final days of March, AustCham coordinated two significant breakfast events with Australian Government Dignitaries and their delegations. The Governor-General of Australia, as part of his State Visit on the 30th and the Premier of Tasmania the following morning. Both events were a great success with positive feedback from those who attended.

April commenced with The Brisbane City Council delegation visit. AustCham organised a lunch with interested members to discuss investment opportunities and build relations between China and Queensland's State Capital.

The first Mentor Walks of 2015 kicked off this month with full attendance. Join AustCham Beijing, Ellevate, Capital M and Viva for the May edition of the Mentor Walks.

This year’s Australia-New Zealand B&S Country Ball was a night to remember, with attendance by members of the Australian and New Zealand business and diplomatic community, as well as other Chinese and international guests. The evening began as a formal dinner and transformed into a fantastic night of drinks, games, dancing, mechanical bull riding and Cricket World Cup related jesting which lasted well into breakfast the following morning.

We would like to thank everyone who came and contributed so generously. Thanks to your support, the event's charity C.O.A.T can do a lot more to improve the lives of Chinese orphans.

On the 23rd of April, AustCham hosted a breakfast with the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Agriculture, Senator the Hon. Richard Colbeck with business members from the food and agribusiness industry.

Over the weekend, many Australians and New Zealanders came together to commemorate the centenary of ANZAC Day. The ANZAC Dawn Service was held at the Australian Embassy, with a large turn out of expatriates and attendance by many foreign dignitaries.

Join us this evening for Aussie Drinks at the Vous Lobby Lounge Bar, Sofitel Wanda Beijing.
