There is a difference between true virtue and perceived virtue. True virtue remains the same whether anyone is going to see it or not. The other is just ego.  

For the next week, do at least one nice thing for someone else every day.  No one can know that you did it. If you are discovered, ever, it does not count. It doesn’t have to be a big thing, although it certainly can be. 

Pay attention to how that makes you feel.
