Open for entries

The 2015 Scottish Smallholder & Grower Festival is open for entries, with schedules and entry forms for all shows now available from our website.

With shows for cattle, goats, pigs, poultry and waterfowl, and garden, craft and food there really is an opportunity for anyone to exhibit at the 2015 Festival.

New this year

Every year we try to improve the Festival and listen to feedback from exhibitors and visitors. New for 2015 in our showing classes:

  • Our Goat show is now British Goat Society recognised, with winners receiving BGS rosettes, challenge certificates and certificates of merit.
  • Egg content classes, in the Garden, Craft & Food competition. These classes judge the quality and freshness of an egg’s contents, rather than its external appearance.
  • A new themed section in Garden, Craft & Food, “Man’s Best Friend”, with six classes related to dogs, from cupcakes to photographs!
Links to all schedules and entry forms are listed below. If you have any questions at all about our showing classes, or any other aspect of the Festival please contact us - we're here to help.

Trade opportunities

The Festival is the ideal opportunity for businesses and organisations providing products and services to smallholders and growers to meet and do business with their customers and potential customers.

We can accommodate almost any size of trade stand - our modules start at 2m x 2m for just £40, and are available in the Trade & Garden Hall and the Craft & Food Hall.

We also have opportunities for sponsorship, and for advertising at the Festival and in our catalogue.

You'll find full details on the Commercial pages of our website.

Breed Societies

For many smallholders, crofters and aspiring smallholders, livestock has a central role  – and choice of breed is of considerable importance.

The Festival is an excellent opportunity for breed societies to meet and engage with existing breeders, and to promote rare and traditional breeds to potential new keepers and breeders. Join the dozens of breed societies who have exhibited at the Festival in previous years.

You'll find all the information you need on the Breed Societies page of our website. The Breed Society Pack contains all the information you need to apply for a breed society stand at the Festival – application form, risk assessment form and terms and conditions.
