Next Howell Mill Road Corridor Meeting
The next meeting regarding the proposed Howell Mill Road Corridor will be Wednesday, May 6th from 6PM-7PM at the Defoor Centre. This meeting will introduce specific zoning and proposed zoning conditions based on all the previous studies as well as recently received public input. For more information, view this flyer.
Moores Mill Shopping Center Development
Our councilmember Felicia A. Moore asked to share the following about plans for the Moores Mill Shopping Center. She writes:
"District 9 has an opportunity to have a quality grocery store development in our food desert. Your emails are needed to ensure that the decision makers make sure it happens.
"The TAD Meeting regarding the Moores Mill Shopping Center development took place yesterday (Wednesday). It was standing room only, thanks to all who could attend. WSB TV Channel 2, the AJC and the Atlanta Business Chronicle were in attendance.
"It was positive, and the committee members expressed support for making sure the project keeps moving. However, there were no commitments as to the path forward, so I will keep you updated.
"Also, they held up about 3 inches of paper from emails received from the community. Your emails have made all the difference! They mentioned many times how impressed they were with the community engagement and support.
"So, the next steps are that the resolution to this issue will be voted on by the committee on May 14th at 3pm, and it will be sent to the Board of Invest Atlanta on May 21st at 8:30 am. I will continue to send updates as information becomes available.

Due to the weather, the Underwood Hills Spring Social has been changed to this Sunday from 4PM to 7PM in Underwood Hills Park. There will be food, music, raffle prizes, and even a bounce house for the kids. Saturday has a higher chance of rain, but the weather looks great on Sunday so bring the whole family!
