Star Rating ~
It is official! COSKids is a 5 Star Child Care facility - the highest rating awarded by the NC Division of Child Development.
We are so excited that the Star Rating system recognized our staff ~ lead teachers, assistants and floats ~ for all of their hard work each and every day to provide our families with the highest quality possible of child care.

Field Trip ~ The Tigers & Owls will be going to Hall Family Farm to pick strawberries the 1st week of May. Parents should see the office for more details.

Graduation
The Owls are headed to Kindergarten and we need to celebrate!
Graduation for all 4 & 5 year-olds that will go to Kindergarten in August 2015 will be held on Friday, May 15th at 11:00 in the gym.
We will follow the ceremony with a picnic lunch on the back lawn. (The children's lunch will be provided by COSKids. Parents and friends coming to graduation should bring a picnic lunch. Of course you are welcome to bring a special picnic for your child too.) Dessert & lemonade will be provided.

Water Water Everywhere ~
Charlotte Water will begin replacing drinking water pipes that serve COSKids in early May. Construction will effect South Trade Street, East McDowell and John Street between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. The driveways to COSKids should not be affected, but the sidewalks may be closed. Work should be finished by mid-June.

Welcome back Mariya!
Mariya came to Matthews in High School from Belarus. She worked at COSKids after her first year of college. She has returned to us as an afternoon float in the 4s.

Welcome Tonya!
Tonya comes to COSKids with over 10 years of child care experience and Early Childhood Credentials I & II. She has worked in private child care and also as a nanny. Tonya will be working in the Bluebirds and Busybees.

Children can have a chance to show off their chalk are on the sidewalk of Stumptown Park followed by a Movie in the Park, Echo to Earth.
Print the registration form at www.matthewskiwanis.org and bring it with you to the event.

Licensing the Upper Building ~
COSKids is growing! Beginning in June we will open 4 new rooms, going from 8 full day (6:30am - 6pm) classes to 11 full day classes and 1 partial day (8am - 2pm) class. This does mean that we will no longer have our 4 hour preschool program.
