EAT YOUR ART OUT  

The Little Italy Mercato Farmers' Market will be mostly on hiatus tomorrow, as Mission Federal Art Walk takes over Cedar Street and all of Little Italy this weekend. A small group of farmers and vendors will offer just the essentials Saturday and Sunday, so grab fresh fruit and vegetables from JR Organics, local Mikolich Honey, Nicolau Farms cheese, Pacific Time bread, The California Olive's oils and fresh sea urchins from Poppa's at India & Cedar, then enjoy the art. This change of art happens just once a year; the Mercato will be back next week with all 200 farm and artisan food and craft tents.
