Greetings! Hope you are finding time for some enjoyable sewing! In this issue of The Scrap Basket, I'll highlight blog happenings briefly, then share a handful of posts I think you'll enjoy (including my new favorite book!) plus a round-up of clamshell tutorials and quilts - a pattern that seems to be enjoying a resurgence of popularity. Enjoy!
Here's some interesting reads I've bookmarked since Issue 1. I hope you find something that piques your interest too . . .
As a non-washer of fabric, I was quite surprised at the range of shrinkage Liz/That's What She Sewed found in her Shrink Test. The results gave me pause. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Quilt Photography is something I'm thoughtful of whenever I finish a project. This post by Anne/playcrafts has some good tips to think about next time you go out on a photoshoot.
I pretty much love everything Amy/Badskirt does, and found even her Overview of Flying Geese Methods enlightening. Note there's even more methods suggested in the comments.
Amy has also started a new blog feature she calls Good Reads and boy is her first recommendation a winner. After reading her review, I ordered Print & Pattern Geometric straightaway, and after a quick glance through it, I can say I'm inspired and then some.
