2015 Wild Asia Responsible Tourism Awards

 

Call for entries - now accepting applications

 
This year, there are seven categories available:
  • Best in Community Engagement & Development
  • Best in Cultural Preservation
  • Best in Protection of Natural Areas & Wildlife Conservation
  • Best in Resource Efficiency
  • Most Inspiring Sustainable Tourism Destination (NEW)
  • Most Inspiring Responsible Tourism Initiative
  • Most Inspiring Responsible Tourism Operator
For the first time, the Awards will be celebrated at the PATA Travel Mart, which this year is being held in Bangalore, India. The celebration provides a whole host of added benefits for Award recipients, such as complimentary admittance to the trade show, opportunities for buyer meetings, networking, and invitation to speak at PATA Talks events on responsible tourism. In addition, Winners will also be invited to attend ITB Asia, the region’s biggest B2B travel trade show, free of charge and may facilitate the regional responsible tourism clinics.

Now in its ninth year, the Wild Asia Awards remain the only programme dedicated to identifying travel industry leaders in sustainability across Asia. The Awards are founded on international standards (the Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria) and provide a unique opportunity for businesses, organisations, and destinations across the region to benchmark their operations against global criteria, and be assessed free of charge by renowned experts in the field.
