An important key to student success is being able to connect education goals with career goals. A short test on My Career & Transfer on the SMCC student portal can help students decide which professions might be worth exploring based on their individual preferences and skills.
The career aptitude test can be found under the heading "My Career Profile" in the online career resource section on the My Career & Transfer page. After asking students to answer a series of questions, the test will produce a detailed career profile and recommend some career fields to explore based on the responses. The test takes only 20 minutes and can give students ideas for careers they hadn't thought about.
