We're looking forward to the next 3 years!

Healthwatch Surrey C.I.C. is delighted to have secured the Surrey County Council contract to provide Healthwatch Services in Surrey for at least the next three years.

This includes the provision of
NHS Health Complaints Advocacy services which we will be providing with Surrey Disabled Peoples Partnership (SDPP).

Working with SDPP and our existing delivery partners; Surrey Independent Living Council, Citizens Advice Surrey and Help and Care, we will build on our work over the last two years as the independent champion of the consumer voice for health and social care in Surrey.  This includes encouraging health and social care providers and commissioners to improve services within the County.

In May, we will be publishing our work plan for 2015/16 which will outline our priorities, plans and intentions for the coming year. Thank you to everyone that completed our reflective audit which contributed to this work.

We would like to thank Mike Rich, our outgoing Chief Executive who led the work to secure the new contract and Jane Shipp who worked with us as Engagement and Communications Manager between April 2013 and March 2015. We wish them both all the best for the future.

Finally, if you or someone you know has had an experience – good or bad – of any health or social care service in Surrey that you would be happy to share with us, please contact us via our help desk on 0303 303 0023,
website, local Citizens Advice Bureaux or by text on 07592 787533.

Kind regards,

Peter Gordon
