DFW Chapter - Year in Review

Special thanks to the Executive Board for all of their hard work, dedication and leadership. Enabling the Dallas Chapter to have the best year ever! WE have surpassed in every area of accomplishments in the history of the Dallas Chapter. We have rallied the support of many new DFW alumni in our efforts to support Dr. Kimbrough and Dillard University’s agenda of, fundraising and student enrollment.

In Dallas, our Communication Chair, Tamiyah Fletcher has created and maintains the first interactive website for the DFW Alumni Chapter, to promote local activities. Personal thanks to Tam for being a part of my team. This newsletter allows me to spread the word of my entire team’s tireless efforts in support of Dillard University.

Thank you to President Kimbrough and his team for supporting us through all of our efforts.

Blue Devil Athletics - Men's Basketball!
The local alumni jumped on the bandwagon as the boys and girls

basketball teams traveled to Tyler and Marshall, Texas to face Texas College on 10/31 and Wiley College on 11/1. Coordinated by alumni Touncel Smith.

The Tom Joyner Christmas in the Park and College Expo

Dillard University Alumni were featured in a prominent position amongst a host of HBCU’s targeting 10th grade students and above. The goal of the expo was to educate students/parents on how to enroll in college.

Dimensions - University Recruitment Program

The DFW Chapter hosted the Admission’s office Dimension program at Lancaster High School in Lancaster, TX

The DFW DU Alumni Chapter meetings are held every 2nd Saturday from 12:00pm - 2:00pm at the House of Blues in downtown Dallas

The Dillard University Concert Choir

The esteemed Dillard University Concert Choir

performed in two morning services at Friendship West

Baptist Church and a full evening concert at St. Luke

United Methodist Church on March 15, 2015. Both

events were well attended and inspired more

participation from the local alumni.

17th Annual Dillard University Scholarship Golf Tournament and Game Day

The 17th anniversary of our premier fundraising event, was a raving

success. We hosted more golfers in the history of our tournament.

With the promise to be bigger and better next year, 2016.

With the added feature of game day,

it allowed Non-golfers to fellowship

with friends of Dillard and local alumni.

We look forward to 2016 and encourage

all to participate in the scholarship golf

tournament and game day festivities.
