Call for art for Healthful Here

Call fo art for Healthful

Unbound Visual Arts (UVA) artists (current and new) are invited to submit for consideration abstract and realistic 2 and 3 dimensional artwork that is related to the theme of "health." Deadline is May 15th. The exhibition takes place at the Honan-Allston Library Art Gallery in Allston, MA from June 6 - July 31, 2015. The theme is being broadly defined so many different types of personal and non-personal art will be considered. Art has been shown to help in many physical and emotional healing and preventative situations. Human beings are by nature inclined to seek out good health of mind and body for themselves and those around them. This exhibition will explore how and why we strive to achieve and maintain good health but sometimes still become unhealthy. Some of the questions to be considered include: What does healthful look like? What are the effects of health and non-health on our well-being? How can art contribute to good health?
