As you know we are specialists in managing ACC for employers including holding ACC accountable for their actions.  
What this means is having someone who knows the rules, can support your members save a lot in ACC levies and give peace of mind that they are being treated fairly.
A common theme we see is that the finer workings of ACC are not well understood especially when it comes to specific ACC decision making including levy code changes.
Because of this we thought we would share with you important changes that you and your members really need to know as well as some of our successes in the advocacy space.  We hope this information is of use to you and we welcome for it to be shared.
Levy Code Changes: ACC is currently driving a work programme where they are reviewing business levy codes to make sure that they are right.  If you have had a levy code change and you don't agree with it... for more information
Car Regos Savings: Car rego’s are decreasing by as much as $200 per new car from 1 July.  This includes all light vehicles of which there are 3.3 million.  Please do not prepay past 30 June as you will not receive a refund for the over-payment... for more information
Cover Plus Extra Credit Notes: ACC and Cover Plus Extra... the two do not mix well as evidenced by the recent credit note debacle...  for more information
Superannuitants: You may be surprised to hear that a superannuitant only has a maximum of two years of ACC weekly compensation available regardless of how much they are paying in levies... for more information

Advocacy Results
 
Adverse Events – Tornado: On 6 December 2012 there was a tornado which hit Hobsonville in Auckland.  This sadly claimed the lives of three people and injured many others.  MBIE at the time did an investigation and determined that the tornado was an Act of God and would not prosecute any business. ACC on the other hand... for more information

Official Information Act Request: In May 2014 ACC received an Official Information Act (OIA) request from the CTU regarding specific forestry statistics relating to the worst performing forestry contractors in workplace claims.  ACC contacted a forestry contractor and stated that ACC was going to give out commercially sensitive information to the CTU and that the contractor could do nothing about this... for more information
