The Aviva Women’s Tour – Stage 4 – Waltham Cross, Saturday 20 June 2015
 
The Aviva Women’s Tour cycling competition returns to Hertfordshire on Saturday 20 June 2015. Stage 4 of this race, featuring the world’s leading female cyclists including Cheshunt’s Laura Trott, begins in Waltham Cross town centre and will make its way through the Borough via Cheshunt Old Pond, Turnford, Broxbourne and Hoddesdon town centre before heading out of the Borough into East Herts and North Herts before finishing in Stevenage town centre. Highlights from The Aviva Women’s Tour will be shown on ITV4 each evening of the five Stages.
 
There will be a programme of community engagement activities from 8.30am in Waltham Cross town centre including cycling competitions for children, BMX stunt displays and a community ride-out procession in partnership with local schools and the Breeze women’s cycling initiative. As we expect large crowds in Waltham Cross, we want to offer the opportunity to local sport clubs to have stalls to promote themselves, run displays and to attract new members. The race will depart from Waltham Cross town centre at 10am.
 
As the race will go through Hoddesdon Town Centre, we are expecting considerable crowds to attend there and we are looking to have further community engagement opportunities for those sports clubs located in the northern end of the Borough.
