The festival for crime lovers is here
Have you ever wondered what goes on in the mind of your favourite crime writer? Are you a publisher of Swedish crime and want to see some of the places where your author kills his or her victims? Would you like to attend a marathon with thriller movies? Do you dare to mingle with people who look nice, but get paid to kill and are you ready to walk through the medieval alleys of Visby on a shady August night? If yes, you should immediately book your tickets for the first edition of CRIME TIME GOTLAND, the festival for everyone - readers, editors, translators, who love suspense in books and movies. Four full days in August, the 13th to the 16th, Visby on Gotland will be crowded with crime lovers. 40 writers and over 50 events. Make sure you are there.
In the program you’ll find seminars, informal talks, screenings, excursions to crime scene sites, writing courses, crime drinks and much, much more. The town will be filled with Swedish crime writers, both the ones who write about Gotland such as Anna Jansson, Håkan Östlundh, Marianne Cedervall and Mari Jungstedt, and other great creators of thrill like Håkan Nesser, Jens Lapidus, Åsa Larsson to only mention a few. The international stars are Jussi Adler-Olsson, Roger Hobbs, Anne Holt, Alex Markwood and Denise Mina. The festival promises an informal atmosphere to make sure that you will actually have a chance to meet and talk to your favourite authors. And of course, there will be a program for adults as well as for children.
