Pinckney in May: Bids, Bites, Beats & Books
When: Saturday, May 16, 2015
Time: 5:00pm - 9:30pm
Where: Pinckney Community Public Library, 125 Putnam St., Pinckney, MI 48169
May there be fun music? May there be fine food? May there be astounding deals on delightful silent auction items? If it’s May 16, then, indeed, there shall be at the 2015 edition of “Pinckney in May: Bids, Bites, Beats & Books,” the annual fundraiser held by and for the Pinckney Community Public Library. Quality beats will be supplied in plenty by popular local favorite the Midnight Special Band, specializing in classic rock and blues of the 70s. Tasty bites will be found in a strolling dinner of selected hors d’oeuvres and desserts for everyone, with beer and wine also available at the cash bar. Bids will be collected for varied and highly desirable items presented through the evening’s silent auction, with something for everyone.
“A complete library collection,” says Library Board President Kate Pratt, “is much more than books.” Proceeds will be used to support the Library’s acquisitions for its collections, including books and so much more.
For tickets, visit the library at 125 W. Putnam Street in Pinckney, or the event’s website at http://pinckneyinmay.weebly.com, where you can also see a preview of a few of the auction items. Tickets are $20.00 in advance or $25.00 at the door and include the concert, food, and auction bidder package. If you buy in advance, you’ll have five more dollars to help with your bidding on this special night: a night of Bids, Bites, Beats, and Books in Pinckney in May.
