Until next year, Earth Month!
Nexus had a PACKED (but wonderful!) Earth Month. We want to thank everyone who joined us for all of our events this April, and we especially thank those that came out to support Nexus at our 2nd Annual Chili Challenge. We could not have done it without the help of our amazing volunteers, donors, sponsors, and friends of Nexus!
Nexus is proud to announce...
The Nexus Energy Center is super excited to announce that we will be continuing our Comfort Project along with our partners, CASA of Madison County! The Nexus Energy Center is all about sustainability, but even more so, we are about helping those in need in our communities. The Comfort Project will continue helping elderly, disabled, and low-income families make home improvements that will permanently lower utility bills.
Nexus Energy Center gets our "15 minutes!"
… 15 minutes of fame, that is! Nexus Energy Center's Tiny Green House will be featured in an upcoming episode of the FYI Network's hit reality series, Tiny House Nation. We can't give away too much just yet, but we do know one thing: it'll be a BIG hit! 
Our episode will air on Monday, May 25th (Memorial Day) at 8 p.m. (CT). Be sure to tune in to the FYI Network, and be on the look-out for upcoming details on our special Viewing Party Nexus will be hosting to celebrate!
2015 Nexus Chili Challenge Re-Cap
The 2nd Annual Nexus Energy Chili Challenge was a HUGE success, thanks to all the cooking teams, rockin' band, and of course attendees!
That said, the BEST news is that Nexus managed to raise funds to help us continue our mission of creating more energy-sustainable communities throughout Alabama!
We are already working on plans for the 2016 Chili Challenge, so stay tuned!

Earth Day, Earth Day, Earth Day!
Nexus Energy Center was thrilled to be a part of so many community Earth Day events this past month! Events  included Earth Day in Monte Sano State Park, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Alabama Earth Day Expo, Athens-Limestone Outdoor Expo & Earth Day Celebration, and a Tiny House visit to Morris Elementary School in Huntsville. Nexus had a great time sharing our Tiny House with so many of our North Alabama locals, and could not be happier to see so much community interest in sustainability initiatives!
