Petersburg Animal Care & Control
Meet Keizer! Kaizer is a amazing 6 year old Shepherd-mix neutered male. Kaiser came to us after his owners’ home on Sussex Avenue caught fire back in October of last  year. His owner was severely injured in the fire, Keiser himself was not breathing when Petersburg Fire Fighter Josh Moore pulled him from the house and administered life saving oxygen to him. Since that time, Kaiser has lived with the loving staff of Petersburg Animal Care and Control. Two weeks ago, Kaisers mom passed away from her injuries and Kaiser became the permanent ward of PACC. All animals are loved by PACC, but this dog is more than special to us all. He protected his mom and he protects us. He loves to play ball, is completely house broken and knows all of his commands. He sometimes does not do well with strangers if he steps into the guarding role. He gets along well with other dogs and lived until the fire with a wonderful cat named Ozzie. It will take a special home for this guy, but PACC is dedicated to finding him one. If you have the home, time and love to give this precious dog, please come meet him at PACC. Come visit him and the rest of the Petersburg Animal Care & Control pets at 1600 Johnson Road!

PACC hours are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from noon to 4 p.m., Friday from Noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. Appointments are also available by calling (804) 732-3654.
