Last summer we were invited by fellow YWAMers that now are leading family ministries of Latvia to come help run family and youth camps reaching whole families with the truth. These friends began running youth camps some time ago, but as they attempted to minister to the youth they saw that though Latvian youth are hungry for the truth, many of the circumstances they were encountering were the result of family breakdown. They saw that if you want to reach the youth of a nation in a lasting way, you need to reach the families.

Last year when their initial invitation came we didn't have the release to go since we were in  the process of pioneering a new ministry in Madison called "Launchpad" which is a missionary internship.

At the beginning of this year we took time to seek the Lord anew about going to Latvia to support the work of family ministries there. As we committed this to prayer we sensed the release to go for a period of three months.

As we have begun moving in this direction we have seen so many breakthroughs already. This past February Beca was granted her US citizenship giving us more freedom to travel as family. We have also seen the provision of a loaner vehicle for us to use while in Latvia . Our contacts in Latvia are seeing great provision from the Lord as well and are very encouraged. They recently saw the release of a new property for family ministries. In addition to running the family and youth camps we will be helping to prepare this new property for use by the ministry.  

We are encouraged to see all the ways in which we see God confirming this step.

We are trusting the Lord for 8,700 USD for this outreach and have already seen 1,740 USD come in. We invite you to join with us in prayer and giving as the Lord leads you.
