FTL Moves Up to #38 on TALKERS' Heavy Hundred
It's an honor to be included for the last several years. Thanks to the crew over at TALKERS Magazine for naming FTL's Ian and Mark as the 38th most important talk radio hosts in America for 2015! Last year's rank on the "Heavy Hundred" was #42 - we've been climbing the chart for several years now. Longtime readers of this list know that we started the show in 2002 and were syndicated by Genesis Communications Network back in 2004. Thanks to all the folks at Genesis and all our wonderful affiliates for helping make #38 possible!
Seven New Affiliates
More move over to FTL from Dennis Miller & Roger Hedgecock. It's been a busy month for new Free Talk Live affiliates! Townsquare Media's KIXZ in Amarillo, TX is now taking our Saturday show and delay broadcasting it on Sunday overnights. A trimulcast of affiliates WSDT, WEPG, and WSDQ in the Chattanooga area moved from Dennis Miller to FTL, live on Saturday and Sunday. Plus, KTUI in Sullivan, MO chose Free Talk Live to replace Roger Hedgecock. Last, but certainly not least, our seven-day-a-week live affiliate in St. George, UT, KZNU, adds a simulcast in Parowan at KAZZ-AM, which also has a translator in Cedar City at 98.5! You can get a

National Geographic Weekend Ends Production
Some stations didn't get appropriate notice from United Stations. I was making my usual affiliate relations calls this morning when one frustrated program director informed me that she had stumbled upon the information that National Geographic Weekend had abruptly ceased production. I called up some more Nat Geo affiliates (their official list is super out-of-date) and another PD informed me that she only found out because she was listening to her station when the host of the show announced it was the last show. If you need a couple of hours of fresh weekend content, please consider Free Talk Live. You can take as much as you want and run us when you want.
Quote from an Industry Pro
"Scratching their nails across the blackboard of talk radio, Ian and Mark grab your attention and make you think. Add FTL for a refreshing change from the normal fare." - Dave Evans, PD of WVTS-AM in Charleston, WV
