Volunteers are extremely important to Better Days! If you are interested in helping Better Days by providing support for resident care, facilities maintenance, our thrift stores or fundraising, please visit the volunteer section of the website. This month, meet Carly!
One of our faithful weekend dog caregivers, Carly selflessly gives up her free time on days off work to care for the over 30 dogs residing at our Chambersburg shelter. We can also count on Carly to fill in on days when we are short-handed and it works with her schedule. With dogs of her own (who occasionally get to ride along and wait in the car while Carly works), Carly's love for four-legged critters is evident. She makes sure the dogs at Better Days get all of their daily food, any medications and of course, toys and treats too! Carly isn't afraid to get dirty and can often be seen working a power-washer like a pro to make sure kennels are in tip-top shape. Carly also loves making sure the dogs get out for walks and some quality one on one time.
Better Days sincerely appreciates Carly's dedication to the animals!
