Special Partners Update                                                      April 2015

Dear Partner:
Each time I go to Nicaragua my heart is touched by what God is doing in that country. I have been travelling to Nicaragua for 28 years and I still am amazed at the needs of these people. On this trip we were able to minister to 400 people in our dental and medical clinics. Thanks to the team in Nicaragua which consisted of three doctors, translators and counselors, Dr. Melvin Mosley and I were able to touch many sick and hurting people. Five were saved on one day and hundreds were touched by the power of God.

Each year we also do a one day seminar for our pastors there in Managua. We call it The Day of Refreshing. This year was powerful with nearly 100 pastors from all around Nicaragua who received the seminar, books, an excellent meal and personal ministry . This was truly a Day of Refreshing for those ministers. Through them we are able to reach 3000 people who will be touched by the pastors through their ministry when they return and use the books and teachings they received on that day. It was truly one of the best meetings that we have had through the years. 

On Saturday, we had a community clinic where people were invited from the streets and homes to visit. One woman, who was six months pregnant, had several abscessed teeth. No only did she receive a check up for her pregnancy but we were able to refer her to the Nicaraguan doctor to follow up the dental work. This woman lived in such poverty. A small shack with no facilities in the 100 degree plus weather. I don't know how she is able to continue on  living under those conditions. It was heartbreaking to me and I have been doing this for nearly 45 years. Only God can give these people the strength to carry on. This woman is just one in millions who need not only dental and medical care but to know Jesus as personal Savior. This is why I am not ashamed to ask our partners for financial help.

This trip is the first trip I have not been able to reach our budget and came up $2000 dollars short. I know this: there are no shortages in Heaven. God has no financial problems. He has not laid off the angels, hocked the throne and sold off the Pearly Gates. I still believe there are enough people that will be obedient and help us finish the remaining money that is needed to make this a successful trip for everyone. I'm asking you today to look deep into your hearts and make a quality decision to help Juanita and I reach this budget. Successful ministry like this trip is only a success when everyone is blessed.
