Dear Friends,
Following the tragic events in Nepal earlier this week, many have asked ARCC how they might help those in desperate need throughout Nepal.
Sarah Kabatt, one of ARCC’s longtime leaders and an important member of the ARCC family, is heading to Katmandu, Nepal to do her part working in local hospitals. Sarah is a skilled nurse and volunteers for an organization called Global Outreach Doctors. Global Outreach Doctors is a nonprofit all volunteer disaster response and global health NGO.
Sarah left San Francisco this morning for Nepal with her medical team. Sarah is one of the most selfless people we know, so it is no surprise to us she just packed up her life and headed to those in need. In addition to medical supplies, Sarah was armed with ARCC tents, tarps and water purifiers to distribute in Katmandu and the outlying areas where she will be working.
For those of you who were wondering how you can help those in Nepal, you might want to consider donating to Global Outreach Doctors. Here is a link to their website: www.globaloutreachdoctors.org.
Of course there are many other wonderful organizations currently doing great work in Nepal. We encourage you to help out in any way you can.
