Mouser Missions Update

April 29, 2015

He shot the villager in the head and wounded two of his sons.
The machete wielding Santa Ana villager had been upset. Why was this man fencing off the church property? The villager was not a believer but the congregation had always been kind to his family and he didn't understand why this outsider was kicking the church out of their own building. As the conversation became heated the man opened fire on the villager and his sons... leaving one dead and two wounded.

If you have ever visited us here in Comitan, chances are you have been to the small congregation of Santa Ana located in an impoverished area just outside the beautiful Lakes of Montebello. You would remember the barefoot children and the overcrowded dirt floor shacks they live in. You would also remember the sincerity with which they shared their meager provisions with a group of strangers. Last year, the owner of the property on which the church building resides passed away and the new owner gave the church till the end of this month to vacate the premises. His decision last Monday to begin fencing off the property sparked the bloody conflict and has forced the little flock to find a new home fast.

And the congregation has not been idle.  The Lord has already provided a new property and this time it actually belongs to the church. The land has been cleared off and a small work force stands ready to begin construction... as soon as we can buy the materials. The current estimate is just under $5,000. If you are interested in giving towards this project please follow the normal donation instructions below and send me an email indicating the amount intended for the building project. As always, 100% of the funds we receive for a project go to the project and any donation large or small is appreciated.

Thank you for partnering with us in the Great Commission!
