SWU to award degrees in two ceremonies
SWU graduates will soon receive their degrees during commencement at the Central campus at 3 p.m.this Friday (traditional) and Saturday (adult evening and online).
The speaker will be John H. Dickey (left), a SWU graduate who served as an advisor to the CEO of Hill-Rom Holdings, Inc., recently retired. Commander Dennis K. Andrews (right) Chaplain Corps, U.S. Navy, a SWU graduate and a minister in The Wesleyan Church, will deliver the baccalaureate sermon. Graduation details can be found here.

SWU's Division of Religion held a commissioning service for senior religion majors April 27 at historic Freedom’s Hill Church. Preaching at the service was Mike McClung, pastor of Trinity Wesleyan Church in Central.
SWU offering Wilderness First Responder course in May
SWU will offer a course that will better prepare those leading groups on a hike or other wilderness experiences to deal with broken bones, snakebites and other emergencies that could arise when beyond the reach of readily available medical help or a cell signal to call 911. Read more>>

SWU’s Dining Services hosted approximately a thousand triathletes from all over the U.S. April 24 before they competed in the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championships, taking place in nearby Clemson. Read more>>
SWU partners with Ronald McDonald House, extends deadline
SWU's North Augusta learning center is collecting items to make life easier for families staying with hospitalized children in the Augusta area. The university is again partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities® for donations. The deadline has been extended to May 8 for SWU to waive app fees for prospective students.Read more>>
