Wait…how does it work?
When an item that is renewable is almost due, our new system will automatically renew it for you. The due date advances the appropriate amount of days based on the renewal schedule for that type of material. Let’s say you have a book due on May 14, the system will send you an email (IF you have selected to receive notices via email) a few days in advance letting you know that your item is now due May 28. You can also check your account via our website or mobile app to see what has been renewed.
What's Renewable?
Anything that was previously renewable will automatically renew. The list below details renewal limits.
May be renewed 7 times (14 days each time)
Plus 14 day initial checkout
Audiobooks (Limit – 25 at one time)
Books (Limit – 100 at one time)
CDs (Limit – 15 at one time)
Playaways (Limit 20 at one time)
May be renewed 3 times (7 days each)
Plus 7 day initial checkout
DVDs (Limit – 15 at one time)
May be renewed 1 time (14 days)
Plus 14 day initial checkout
Magazines (Limit – 100 at one time)
No renewals
14 day initial checkout
Video Games (Limit – 2 at one time)
Items will not be renewed if:
• Another library member places a request on that item.
• The item has reached its maximum number of renewals.
• Fines on the account have reached $10.
• Your account activity has been blocked.
• The item is a digital eMaterial.
Do I need to sign up?
Nope. You’re already signed up! You don't have to do anything except celebrate this great new way to avoid overdue fees. However, if you aren't currently signed up to receive emails regarding your account status, you can certainly select to receive emails. eMail is the best way to stay informed.

unopened paper products and toiletries
The fine for one overdue item will be waived for each item donated, with a maximum of $25 in total credit possible for each account. Any fines that are in the official collections process cannot be waived.

Registration for summer classes begins Thursday, May 28.
Session I classes begin week of July 6.
Session II classes begin week of July 27.
The library’s art classes, organized through the Little Art Gallery, are designed to meet the needs and abilities of each student as well as foster creativity, social skills and individual growth.
Children’s classes are held two days a week for each three week session. Adult classes are held one day a week for six weeks beginning the week of July 6.
Fee: children’s session $20; adult session $30. Register at ncantonlibrary.org.
