Mal Williams Visit
Mal Williams from Zero Waste Wales is in NZ, and has kindly agreed to a bit of an impromptu speaking tour - stopping in Auckland, Raglan, Hamilton, Wanaka, Ashburton and Kaikoura.
Arguing for kerbside separation, community ownership and cooperative finance, Mal has been involved in the Zero Waste movement for many years. He thinks we have some of the best examples of community recyclers anywhere and says "NZ is the place in the world where people just get on and doing it".

WasteMINZ Roundup 2015
CRN Chair Marty Hoffart attended last weeks WasteMINZ roundup. This years theme was Sustainable Economies – Building a better industry. Marty's particular interest is the importance of mandatory product stewardship schemes so he made sure to attend the Progressing Product Stewardship sessions, and also had time to be Fonterra's Nic Bishop's able assistant.
Big thanks to Russ Martin from MS2 for the images!
