In May the scene in the gardens changes quickly, almost over night, particularly if there’s a warm spell.
A lovely bulbous perennial with star-shaped blue flower spikes in spring.
Tiarella cordifolia (Foam flower) An attractive, spreading ground cover with pale green leaves and white, star-shaped flowers in late spring. Looks great mingling with forget-me-nots.
Rubus spectabilis ‘Olympic Double’ is a thicket forming shrub with very pretty, rose-like double flowers. The double, rose-like bright purple-pink flowers in April/May. Needs some space as it will sucker. Sun or light shade. Height 2m. Spread 2m.
