A School that Walks Together, Stays Together
Wednesday, May 6 dawned bright and clear and thus, parents, students and faculty members at Maui Prep decided to walk or bike to school! A huge mahalo to Jenny Worth for organizing this important event. The school cannot grow much larger until necessary improvements are made to the intersection and this event kicked off Maui Prep's initiative to gain both political and community support in making the improvements. Coffee was made by The Coffee Store, parking was made available by Napili Plaza and the shoes of the school community were made for walking (or biking). Mahalo to all who participated!

Guests on Campus!
Archie Kalepa, Snake Ah Hee and Myrna Ah Hee from the Polynesian Voyaging Society were guest speakers for 2nd and 3rd grade on Friday (above). They spoke about their experiences sailing the Hokule'a in The Polynesian Triangle. The kids were thrilled to hear about the adventures of the crew.  Chef Paris Nabavi also was a guest at the school on Friday. He was working with Miss Tricia from Grow Some Good Maui and taught the Lower School students how to make guacamole (below). And, the word on the street is that it was the best guacamole ever! Mahalo to both speakers for taking the time to educate our keiki.

Another Beautiful May Day!

Many thanks to Ray Chin for the beautiful photos!
