Newsletter May 15th

Dear Friends,

This will be the last Pastor's Corner that I write to you from our offices on Whitesburg Drive. We will officially move the church offices to the new building on Monday, May 18th. Please be patient with us as we are working diligently to set up communications in our new facility. We are looking forward to our new space and more room to improve our office operations.

Registration begins this Sunday for Vacation Bible School. How very exciting it is that VBS will be held at our new location! There will be ample room for our kids and volunteers to have a great week of growing in Christ and having fun! We are still in need of some volunteers for this important week of discipleship. If you would like to serve in any way (teach, cook, clean, build, etc...) please contact Lauren Davenport (laurenhdavenport@hotmail.com). We especially encourage our junior, high school and college students to jump in and help serve our children.

This Saturday, there will be a church-wide cleanup at the new facility from 9-1. Lunch will be served. Maximum participation is absolutely necessary. Please check with your Sunday School class facilitators as they will be helping to coordinate the process. Each adult SS class will be responsible for their own classroom, a children's classroom, and a common area. This is primarily an adult event. Children are discouraged for safety reasons and efficiency.

Worship Notes: May 17, 2015

This Sunday we will honor and pray for our High School graduates.

Where is your treasure? That will be the focus of our sermon this Sunday as we continue in our study in Kingdom Living. Matthew 6:19-24.

FCA Sports Camps - The Northeast Alabama Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will be conducting two 5-day (8:30-3:30) Sports Camps in Hampton Cove (June 15-19) and Madison (July 20-24). The camps are for kids ages 7–13. Each camp will offer 12 sports clinics from which to choose one sport. Clinics are lead by professional, college, and high school coaches. VBS registration kickoff is this Sunday, 5/17. Invite your friends. Please come to table in back of church to register. Register early to be sure and get your VBS t-shirt for only $10!

Youth Group - Sunday night from 5:30 - 7:00 at the Hinsons - 1401 Monterrey Dr., Huntsville, AL 35801

Vacation Bible School - Registration begins Sunday at the table in the back of the sanctuary. Be sure to sign up before June 14th in order to get a t-shirt! Volunteers still needed! Please contact Lauren Davenport if you can serve our children for VBS @ laurenhdavenport@hotmail.com.

College Summer Sunday School Class - Beginning May 31st in our new facility, recent High School graduates and college students are invited to join David and Clare Purinton for at summer study. More details to come!

New Members Class - Our next class will begin on Sunday, June 7th @ 10:15 in the sanctuary. We will meet for 4 consecutive Sundays, with the last class being June 28th. E-mail the church office at office@cornerstone-pres.org to sign up. Adults and students (middle school and up) are invited to attend. A Communicants class for children will be held in the fall.

New Service Times - Our first service in the new facility will tentatively be Sunday, May 31st. Worship will be at 9:00 a.m.; Sunday School at 10:15 a.m. (149 Old Big Cove Road, Brownsboro, AL (behind Interior Marketplace on Hwy. 431)
